“With a total of 1019 nominations across all the categories representing a diverse range of kids’ activity providers & related businesses across the UK (388 in total), the standard of applications was very high. To get to final shortlist of 6, Chloe & the Little Wickets team should be very proud. The awards’ finalists & winners are independently judged by a panel of expert judges, most of who are children’s activity professionals &/or specialists in their field. In the Leader of the Year Category they are specifically looking for someone who has managed a team of people for more than 3 years, who demonstrates a passion for their activity’s brand values, a commitment to excellence, innovation and growth & not just their individual achievements. Best of luck to Chloe and her team.”
Chloe Williams’ on Little Wickets;
“Little Wickets offers Cricket Fun For Kids & Toddlers. Championing Teamwork, Fair Play and Fun it is more than just learning to bat, bowl and field. It sows the seeds for a lifelong passion for sport. ‘The Spirit of Cricket’ is at the heart of everything we do, to develop a sense of fair play, participation, cooperation & having fun. Delivered by our team of enthusiastic, vetted & experienced coaches, it’s a fantastic way to nurture young Boys & Girls’ physical, emotional & social skills.
Kids have so much fun joining in with the specially crafted warm-up games, skill based activities & soft ball cricket games (built on the ‘FUNdamentals of Movement’) that they don’t even realise the positive life skills they are learning on the way.
Founded over a decade ago and with our first sessions in 2011, Little Wickets offers regular weekly sessions, school clubs and curriculum sessions exclusively for the Early Years & Key Stage1 age groups as well as soft-ball holiday activities for pre-schoolers and Primary School aged kids across the East Midlands. We are currently exploring ways to extend this offering across the UK.”
On finding out she had been nominated Chloe says
“Being nominated was a great opportunity to shout about the great stuff the Little Wickets team offer. I am extremely proud of what they offer week in and week out. The majority of our lead & assistant coaches have been with us for more than 5 years. Many of them have been with us since the beginning.
The whole team understand that ultimately the kids’ enjoyment, bringing Little Wickets’ brand values to life & Little Wickets’ success, lies in their hands. Being short listed as a finalist for the ‘Leader of the Year Category’ is a testament to the Little Wickets coaching and back-up team’s quality, loyalty, hard-work and many great ideas.
We are all looking forward to finding out who all the category winners are on Saturday 16th May at the Club Hub Award Event at the Macdonald Burlington Hotel in Birmingham”
