Little Wickets’ Holiday Fun

 

The school holidays always seem to be just around the corner and Little Wickets offer lots of different holiday activities to ensure your sons & daughters active Fun with a crickety twist … including pre-schoolers!

From Tots’ Hot Shots Mornings, introducing 3-5 year olds to Cricket and Tennis fundamentals in a fun and safe environment (indoors) to Monday evening one off sessions for the Big Hitters in Reception to Year 5 who want more game time. Not forgetting the ever poplular Holiday Camps for all primary school-aged Boys & Girls, with softball cricket skills, activities & games for all abilities. In the Summer Holidays these are outdoors at local cricket clubs and every other holiday they are indoors – well except during the Christmas break when we don’t run any activities so our Coaches can also get a well earned break!

Whether your child is an ‘old hand’ or brand new to Little Wickets we guarantee an emphasis on Teamwork, Positive Sportsmanship and FUN!

We have all the kit needed so all the children need to bring is bags of energy and to wear whatever they are happy to run around in. 

All of our camps are based on softball cricket. If your son or daughter has already started their Hardball cricket journey then they’ve graduated beyond Little Wickets. However, we’d be happy to direct you towards other options at local Cricket Clubs.

Little Wickets Camp Children Outside with Coach All Thumbs Up
More than just batting, bowling & fielding; the qualified, vetted and experienced Little Wickets’ coaching team will ensure that the ‘Spirit of Cricket’, good sportsmanship and joining in are at the heart of all the fun. In small, consistent groups (based on age) the children will develop all-round technical skills, a sense of fair play and teamwork. Games during the day will put their new skills to the test and ensure smiles all round!

With the exception of the Summer Holiday cricket club camps, all of our camps are indoors.

Each morning and afternoon session will have a different theme and focus.

Big Hitters

Select Monday Evenings for Reception to Year 5

There’s nothing wrong with a bit of competition (in the best version of ‘The Spirit of Cricket’ obviously). Our Big Hitters sessions offer Boys & Girls, in Reception – Year 5, the opportunity to come along on an ad hoc (pre-booked) basis to the individual Monday evening holiday sessions. They will enjoy an hour of softball cricket games …  just games – batting and bowling is shared around and there will be lots of laughs! Make new friends and/or bring friends. No ongoing comittment .. just Fun, Fun, Fun!

 

Tots Hot Shots

Cricket & Tennis Fun Mornings for 3 – 5 Year Olds

 

We are delighted to offer Tots’ Hot Shots Mornings with West Bridgford Tennis Club. Tots’ Hot Shots is a unique opportunity for 3 – 5 years olds to enjoy the FUNdamentals of two great sports (softball Cricket & Tennis).

Pre-schoolers from the age of 3 will enjoy several warm-up activities & separate sessions of softball Cricket & Tennis FUN & Games. With a strong emphasis on the ‘FUNdamentals’ of movement and developing hand-eye co-ordination, Tots’ Hot Shots is a great way to introduce your pre-schooler to both games in a fun and safe environment.

Parents are asked to stay on site throughout the morning, and are welcome to join in if their little one needs or wants them to. Alternatively there is a cafe, serving a variety of refreshements, which overlooks the indoor courts the children will be playing on.
